Prometheus is guilty of a lot of sick things, but none are as bad as their lust to alter the human condition. The Corporation's scientific branch has been addicted with splicing genes, altering DNA, and modifying Terran biology for decades, and though their reputation has been tarnished for it, still they continue.
Project Phobos (After the Greek God of Fear) was no different. The dozen or so inmates, who were illegally donated by corporate correctional facilities, were all specifically chosen because of their genetic backgrounds. For months each inmate was poked and prodded, injected and implanted, until all that was left was the husks of what once remained. Finally, once each subject was perfected, they were either presented to high level corporate figures, or sold to the highest bidder.
Code Name: Alucard was no different. The psionically inclined inmate's history was long ago deleted. All that mattered was what he'd become. The human-psion's genetics were altered so that he would become the perfect weapon against both mundanes and psions alike. However, what Prometheus scientists didn't see coming until it was too late were the side effects for toying with nature. Alucard had become faulty, developing a hunger that Prometheus couldn't feed.
The psion had a need to feed off of the mental energy of others, drinking from minds as if water. Afraid of the consequences, but unwilling to just dispose of the valuable project, Prometheus decided to sell Alucard. But before he could be shipped out, the psionic vampire became aware of what he'd become, and turned on his creators. The lab he'd been reborn in was destroyed, and all the staff eliminated. Any other Project Phobos subjects were released by Alucard, free to wreak havoc throughout the galaxy.
Meanwhile for Alucard, vengeance is in the air. Although he battles with the hunger inside him, he won't let it distract him for one last chance to get revenge on those who made him who he is. Although he's destroyed his makers, he still looks to stop those who purchased him like he was cattle, as well as those who are the ultimate architects of the Phobos Projects.

PSIONIC VAMPIRE DISADVANTAGES AND SPECIAL ABILITIES
Advantage Flaw: Mental Hunger [R3] This disadvantage is linked to a particular Special Ability (Life Drain). Whenever the character is wounded, he/she must make an immediate willpower check (DC 10 + Damage Points Taken) in order to not dedicate all following actions towards healing himself/herself (Regulated by the GM). For every full round that the character has not yet managed to heal, they take a -1D penalty, which increases each additional round. Once fully healed, the Psionic Hunger immediately goes away.
Psionic Drain [7], must also have at least 1D in Metaphysics This ability allows the character to drain attribute pips from a target's Knowledge Attribute in exchange for body points. When the character wishes to employ Mental Drain, they must spend an action touching the opponent (if the target is dodging, the character must first make a successful unarmed attack that delivers damage). They then roll their Metaphysics Attribute versus the target's Willpower. If the user's roll is higher than the target's, consult the chart below for results.
1-5: Gain the resulted number in body points and -1 pip to Target's Knowledge 6-10: Gain the resulted number in body points and -2 pip to Target's Knowledge 11-15: Gain the resulted number in body points and -1D to Target's Knowledge 16-20: Gain the resulted number in body points and -1D-1 to Target's Knowledge 21-25: Gain the resulted number in body points and -1D-2 to Target's Knowledge 26-30: Gain the resulted number in body points and -2D to Target's Knowledge 31 or more: Gain the resulted number in body points and -2D-1 to Target's Knowledge
*If target's attribute points go to Zero, the target goes into a coma. They may try once per day to wake up by making a successful Stamina check (Very Difficult: 21)

While flying through the cosmos on a job from the Hades 13 Underworld, a sudden jolt of horror followed by a mental scream fills the senses of the young psychic.
