| T.A.F. Armed ForcesThe T.A.F. Armed Forces has been the face of the human military for the last three-hundred years. After the great Solar War, T.A.F. proved that their military organization was unsurpassed. Since then, they have spent more capital on their army than any other organization in the Milky Way. The T.A.F. spends 32% of its yearly budget on their military. Compared to Prometheus who spends only 12%, and the House of Veneration who spends 9%, the T.A.F. is by far the most commanding military in the Milky Way. While the T.A.F. is known for its many galactic Special Forces squads, the heart of their army consists of the T.A.F. Armed Forces. They are experts of mobilized assaults, assembling in a moments notice to wage war with any foe required. The T.A.F. has three major branches, the Army, Space Force and Navy. The Army specializes in land based combat, and owns the majority of the T.A.F. Armed Force’s personnel. The 2nd largest division, the Space Force, focuses not only on space craft combat, but gravity-based aerial combat as well. Finally, the T.A.F. Navy concentrates on underwater battle, using subaquatic crafts to master other planets’ great seas. The T.A.F. is stationed on Earth, Earth’s Moon, the Moons of Jupiter, the Moons of Saturn, the Moons of Neptune, Epsilon Eridani B, Helios 13, Phaya 2 and Phaya 3. They also patrol the borders of the outer Milky Way Galaxy and have been deployed themselves inside the Hexisan Union’s military headquarters. No other military has more presence in both galaxies than the T.A.F. The Armed Forces “Hawk” is one of the most recognized symbols in the galaxies, and is a symbol of the Terran Allied Forces governmental belief system. As of current day, there are more than 2 billion men and women in service. Of those, nearly 70% are career servicemen. (T.A.F. Army Infantry Soldier) | |

| The Terran Star ForceThe Terran Star Force is the aerial and galactic warfare service branch of the T.A.F. Initially part of the Army, the Star Force was formed as a separate branch of the military after the great Solar War. It is the most recent branch of the T.A.F. Armed Forces to be formed, and is the most well funded Star Force in the galaxy. The Star Force has approximately 60 thousand manned aircraft in service, 180,000 unmanned combat vehicles, and 450 mobile space bases. The Star Force also has approximately 400,000 personnel on active duty, 168 thousand in the Individual Ready Reserves, and 94,000 in the Star Guard. In addition, the Star Force employs 151 thousand civilian personnel, and has over 60,000 auxiliary members in Civil Star Patrol, making it the largest star force in the Milky Way. The Department of the Star Force is headed by the civilian Secretary of the Star Force, who is appointed by the Prime Minister with the advice and consent of the Senate, and has the authority to conduct all of its affairs, subject to the authority, direction and control of the Secretary of Defense. The Department of the Star Force is a Military Department within the Department of Defense. The highest-ranking military officer in the Department of the Star Force is the Chief of Staff who exercises supervision over Star Force units, and serves as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Star Force combat forces are assigned, as directed by the Secretary of Defense, to the Combatant Commanders, and neither the Secretary of the Star Force nor the Chief of Staff have operational command authority over them. The Star Force has always prided itself on its distinguished battles, aircrafts and pilots. Personal honor amongst the fleet is galacticly publicized, and many young cadets begin their career as early as seven human years. Unlike Prometheus Enterprises or the House of Veneration, the T.A.F. Star Force continues to invest as much in their single manned star fighters as they do their colossal battle vessels. The T.A.F. Star Force prides itself on overwhelming the enemy, swarming adversaries and confusing their battle plans. While the T.A.F. Star Force’s vehicles are not as advanced as the Hexisan Union’s Space Force (due mostly to funding), they do compete in sheer numbers. In spite of this, most T.A.F. ships tend to have a single directional design in order to enter air enriched environments where as the Hexisan Union contains multi-directional space craft. This has earned the T.A.F. Star Force the nickname “Forward Boys”. Nonetheless, though they are in the process of integrating multi-directional craft into their units, the T.A.F. Star Force still continues to be a dominant presence because of their size, ambition and toughness. Their exploits in past wars, their current anti-pirating campaign and future Hexisan endeavors may make them the potential most powerful threat amongst the stars.

| Subject: T.A.F. Marines Thu Sep 06, 2012 3:48 pm | |
| T.A.F. MARINESThe T.A.F. Marines serve as an expeditionary force-in-readiness. They have three primary areas of responsibility: • The seizure of advanced bases and other land operations to support campaigns; • The development of tactics, technique, and equipment used by landing forces in coordination with the Army and Star Force; and • Such other duties as the Chief of Staff may direct. This last clause, while seemingly redundant,, is a codification of the expeditionary duties of the Marine Corps. It allows for Marines to be commanded without legislative permission, a benefit called "one of the most important statutory – and traditional – functions of the Marine Corps,” by military officials. It notes that the corps has more often than not perform actions of a non-naval nature, including numerous counter-insurgence and occupational duties. While these actions are not accurately described as support of military campaigns nor as amphibious warfare, their common thread is that they are of an expeditionary nature, using the mobility of the Navy to provide timely intervention in foreign affairs on behalf of American interests. In addition to its primary duties, the Marine Corps has missions in direct support of Mobile Services and the Marine Security Guards of the Marine Embassy Security Command; a branch tat provides security for T.A.F. embassies, legations and consulates at more than 140 posts galacticly. | |
