| Edna's DishonorEdna's Dishonor is the infamous pirate ship manned by none other than Captain Jonathan Sharp. Sharp, a former Commodore in the T.A.F. Star-Force, had been slighted one too many times by his profit driven superiors, so along with his loyal crew, succeeded from the T.A.F. Unlike most pirates who stay along the deep space borders, Sharp enjoys piloting Edna’s Dishonor through main trade routes, challenging foes in ship-to-ship combat. Edna’s Dishonor is a battle-class star ship with high tech shields and a deadly set of plasma cannons. Its most remarkable feature however, isn’t its battle armaments, but its sheer speed in battle. The ship can maneuver like a Delta-fighter craft yet is large enough to go toe-to-toe with city sized transports. (An Edna's Dishonor Crew Member)Luckily, those who are defeated by Sharp do not suffer the same fate that they would with other pirates. Sharp believes in militaristic gallantry, and offers prisoners the chance to either join his crew or be taken as prisoner until they reach the next survivable planet., where they’re marooned. This noble reputation has helped earn multiple followers, and his crew always seems to be at max capacity. Sharp is also a master duelist, out-drawing some of the quickest gun fighters in the Milky Way. His plasma-blaster, “Captain’s Doom”, is said to have claimed the lives of dozens of fools brave enough to challenge him. In spite of this, it’s said that Sharp has confessed to crew members that he’s foreseen his own death, and that it will happen not during a ship battle, but as the result of a challenge. (Captain Jonathan Sharp)Whether his dream is true or not, Edna’s Dishonor still remains a dominant force amongst the stars. Its seven years of piracy has earned it credit amongst pirates and citizens alike Those who wish to stop it, usually end up missing or dead. Those who witness the ship, narrate accounts of astounding battles followed by a quick withdrawals, but only after attaining plunder. So, while most pirate ships like Edna’s Dishonor end up meeting their final fate amongst the hands of law enforcement or government militaries, Sharp and his crew seem to be the exception. Perhaps they’ll continue their piracy for years to come or disappear into space, retiring with their sizable fortunes. The Galaxies may never know. (Edna's Dishonor)

| The False Prophet(False Prophet Crew Members, "Nez en Poudre)The False Prophet is a large battle-craft ran by the “Nez en Poudre” (Powdered Nose) gang. The 96 ruffians are the former crew of the T.A.F. 5th Division, a division of French Star Forces, who mutineered their captain after his short, but nasty reign. The crew was presumed to be ran by the leader of their rebellion, Claude Basile, who was a cadet on the ship at the time. Now, however that leadership is in question. The once missing ” Princess Jezebel Louise Thérèse Victoria”, of France is said to have somehow found her way onto the ship, and after courting the improvised Captain Claude Basile, took the helm of the False Prophet. (1st Mate Claude Basile)Princess Jezebel’s family has set up a reward of 50,000 capital for the person who can return their daughter. King Felipe feels that whoever has placed her as Captain, kidnapped the poor girl and is using her face to disgrace the royal bloodline. But all are not so sure that such is the case. Survivors of the False Prophet’s attacks state that the princess has lead several charges onto assaulted ships and is said to be more blood thirsty than most of her men. (Princess Jezebel Louise Therese Victoria, Captain of the False Prophet)Unlike Edna’s Dishonor (see other pirate legends), the False Prophet doesn’t look for victory in battle. Instead they try to attack quickly, paralyzing ships while raiding parties enter the vessel. From there, the Nez en Poudre group takes what they want before escaping back into the False Prophet, evading rescue crews who might be chasing after. While the False Prophet is a formidable ship, it’s big advantage is the ship’s Long Range Pulse Cannon (dubbed “The Equalizer”), which temporarily disables electronics on target crafts. Without it, victims of the False Prophet would either be able to elude or fend off the pirate ship, as they are typically more advanced. (The False Prophet)

| The S.S. Angel VeronicaThe S.S. Angel Veronica is a pirate vessel which is ran by its crew, “The Conquistadors”. The ship was once a transport vessel for the House of Veneration, who was transferring military prisoners from Enceladus (Moon of Saturn) to Earth. However, before the Angel Veronica could arrive at their destination, the prisoners escaped their cells, hijacking the ship and heading for the outer rims of the Milky Way. Throughout their trek to the cosmic outskirts, the Conquistadors attacked several other liners, stealing their goods, murdering their crews and capturing their smaller, useful ships. While the onslaught was one of the worse in pirate history, it also gave the crew of the Angel Veronica a terrifying reputation. (The S.S. Angel Veronica)The S.S. Angel Veronica is by far one of the most fear invoking ships in the cosmos. Unlike most pirate crafts that use the advantage of speed or mobility, the Angel Veronica is so massive, that overpowers its opponents with sheer fire power and its robust plasma shields. It’s defeated several significant battle ships, including Prometheus’s esteemed S.S. Pride of Manta. The ship has one of the largest crews in pirate history, numbering at nearly a thousand, and one of the most deadly as well. Most of the crew were highly trained House of Veneration guard, turned savage convict, turned blood thirsty pirate. While nowadays, they mostly work out of the Pirate’s Asteroid belt, harassing folks of Protega, they occasionally take pleasure cruises in search of fresh meat. (The Pirate's Asteroid Belt)Their leader, Captain Francisco “The Dapper” Vasquez, is an ex-Spanish pilot and name giver to the crew. He prides himself on his charm, but has been profiled as a narcissistic and sadist. He prefers to use gruesome armaments, like his favored chain-saber, over much cleaner laser and plasma weapons. He is also an enthusiast of rape, torture and mutilation. His crew respects him most often out of fear, and he has been known to murder those who he feels may soon challenge his authority. Nonetheless, Captain Vasquez is also a master negotiator, and his several schemes have put him in the pockets of several Protega (planet) government officials. | Subject: The Aifor Wed Aug 29, 2012 8:37 pm | |
| The Aifor Aifor (ie-forr) means violent one in Norse. It is a T280 Model Battle Ship, an early spacecraft used by T.A.F. during the 22nd century. There are very few of these antiques still afloat, as they consume massive amounts of energy, pollute the space ways and travel very short distances. However, for the crew of the Aifor, the T280 is their ship of choice, as its speed in open spaces is unmatched. For speed is all the raiding crew needs to catch up to their victims and butcher them. The Aifor began as a serious fighter during 2196 A.D. and had seen multiple skirmishes during its term. Its Scandinavian crew had renamed the ship (formerly known as the Shepard) after four years of tenure together. They began to adopt many of the Viking characteristics, repainting the ship an ocean green and littering its inside with Norse inscriptions. Nonetheless, the crew would eventually disband and the Aifor would retire, being sold to an Earth based Transportation Company as a hauling vessel. For the next 250 years, the ship made its way back-and-forth, delivering everything from hovercrafts to manure. (An Aifor Viking Crew Member)Then, in 2344 A.D., the designated ship Captain, Gottfried Northman found out that the ship was to be scrapped for parts. Gottfried, who some say was suffering from psychotropic contaminants, claimed that the spirits of the original Aifor crew had told him to seize the ship and sail it to the outer rims of the Milky Way where a crew would be waiting. So, without warning, Gottfried escaped, and after stopping at a few known pirate hangouts, found himself a rugged group of scoundrels ready for action. The crew immediately began raiding the supply lines that Gottfried knew all too well. They made thousands of capital in stolen goods and used it to patch up the Aifor. They were the new Vikings of space, using brutal raiding tactics to earn their keep as feared marauders. Unfortunately, Gottfried would go on to perish in a later battle, but his crew was already engrained with the principles he’d taught to them. They based their beliefs on individual might, strength and vigor, believing it would be rewarded in the afterlife. (The Aifor)Then, in 2344 A.D., the designated ship Captain, Gottfried Northman found out that the ship was to be scrapped for parts. (Former Captain Gottfried Northman)Their current leader, Bothvar Haklang, is a former T.A.F. soldier who joined the Aifor after he was released from service with heart problems. After undergoing a risky procedure, Bothvar was given a mechanical heart that gave him new life, and helped spark his journey to becoming Captain. He would later earn rite as leader, after challenging Hisili’th, a Naga ex-miner. The battle to the death gave Bothvar the helm and soon, he’d lead his crew to some of the most decisive victories in pirate history. (Captain Bothvar Haklang)Bothvar is not alone in his uniqueness. He’s accompanied by his 1st mate Golicon, an Ullitor pit fighter who entertains the crew by thrashing prisoners. He also has a vicious crew of other Ullitors, Solins, Naga and Humans who think themselves Norse Warriors of old. They tend to use melee weapons when possible, but do not shy away from laser and plasma weapons. Together the crew has destroyed 72 ships, more than any other pirate crew in space today. Many predict that the Aifor’s aggressiveness will lead to their doom, and their reign of terror is at an end. As for now though, they are still flying through the cosmos, attacking anyone who gets too close. (1st Mate Golicon) | |

| The S.S. Hangman's TearCaptain Negaphage Grim-Dancer is a legendary pirate who captained the S.S. Hangman’s Tear. For almost a century, Negaphage Grim-Dancer ruled the open orbit, and is said to have helped organize the first pirate coalition. He was responsible for destroying seventeen Terran Alliance ships in vessel-to-vessel combat, and rumored to have slain dozens with his infamous chain-sword. Yet no one has ever seen Negaphage’s face, nor do they know his true identity. For the first fifty years, Negaphage’s reign was unquestioned, as he’d brought enough success and plunder to keep his crew content. However, as members of the ship who’d been with the Captain since the beginning started to pass away from old age, younger buccaneers began to wonder if Negaphage somehow had cheated death. While Negaphage avoided answering questions pertaining to his age, some suspected that the three items he was always seen with somehow extended his life. Because an ornate mask, decorative amulet, and vicious chain sword made from ancient metal were always adorned on the Captain, items whispered to have been plucked from a great ruin. Then, just before the turn of the 26th century, Captain Negaphage Grim-Dancer led the S.S. Hangman’s Tear into a massive raid inside the Hexisan Galaxy. Along with several other independent pirate ships, they sailed towards Hexisan’s main capitals, but were quickly disposed of before they could get too far. While there was proof that most of the pirate ships were obliterated, none of the Hexisan defenders could find evidence that the Hangman’s Tear was destroyed. While many have given up hope or forgotten about Captain Negaphage Grim-Dancer, some still hold onto chance, praying that the pirate legend will someday return. Captain Negaphage Grim-Dancer | |
