| Name: Dixie McCoy Race: Human Quote: “Whenever I fill out any official forms, in the part that says "If an emergency, notify:" I put "DOCTOR". What's my momma’ gonna’ do?.” Appearance: Thin and curvy, this dirty-blonde appears to be no older than twenty-five. Nonetheless, her sapphire eyes have a wisdom about them that makes her seem less naïve than most girls her age. Her tan skin is freckled lightly along her cheeks and a light pink gloss shines across her lips. She often wears comfortable, but showy clothing that helps defy her as a musician. She rarely leaves without her guitar which she tightly straps over her back. Character Traits: Dixie is a tough cookie, but she tries not to let it make her seem jaded. Growing up in the mines however, has a way of stiffening your backbone. Dixie is not afraid to say what she’s thinking, even if it means she’s not agreeable. Still, her artistic insight helps grant a grace to her that is evident in everything from the way she walks to how she words what she is saying. Dixie grew up in the mining town of Hedgefield, a small community on the Neptune moon called Proteus. Her mother left her father and Dixie when she was just a little girl, leaving the Prometheus Enterprises miner to care for his child. Dixie spent most of her time raising herself, which also is how she became interested in music. Using her father’s old guitar, she began to entertain herself by strumming new tunes inspired by the town of Hedgefield, and had quite the collection of songs before long. As Dixie reached maturity, she found that she’d grown into her body and was now the object of the local boys’ affection. Though she tried to focus on her music, a few of the young miners did catch her eye, and before long, she was in a relationship. However, the disapproval of her father and the temper of her lover lead the girl to look for an escape. Soon, she was saving her capital and signing up with a career firm in order to find work off of Proteus. It’s her hope that somewhere out there is a new beginning, one where she can get her music career started.

| Dixie, March 30th, 2525Dixie always knew she wasn't going to have it easy. Being a coal miner's daughter was trying, but she always managed to survive, and kept her dream alive to someday be a country western musician. Then, either by dumb luck or fate, she was recruited as a deputy and began making a decent living for herself. The job didn't come without setbacks, and after one of the many dangerous encounters, she found herself wondering if this career was the one for her. So she decided to join a fellow musician, Kiley Haines, and chase her dreams. With the help of the good Marshal's funding, she was able to continue and play on stage until finally scoring an agent on Hekate. Her recent debut album, "Hard Coal Soul", has been moderately successful, though as much as she enjoys the performer lifestyle, she often wonders what it would be like if she stayed a deputy. Major Accomplishments: Assisting in the warrants of Alvaro Tavares, Tartok “The Crusher” Deniigi, Regina Carver, and Captain Bothvar Haklang Misdeeds/Errors: Dixie has suffered from depression after a terrible encounter with a member of the Ice Hounds. Since then, she's learned to heal, but continues to feel the weight of what has happened to her. Current Plot: Dixie is still balancing whether to continue her act as a talented country musician or return to the crew of the Steel Witch. | |
